#343 – Tapila PHC, Nigeria

Tapila, Nigeria
Rehabilitating their broken handpump and reestablishing their access to safe water.
Completed: July 11th, 2024

I, Alhaji Sani Tukura (Mai Anguwa Tapila), write on behalf of Tapila PHC community to appreciate Lifewater Nigeria for coming to repair our damaged borehole that has been bad for the past one year. We pray for more progress and protection in every member of the organization. At this point, we plead for more boreholes as only one borehole cannot be enough for us in the community. Drinking water from the river has caused most of us typhoid in the community. We thank you for your great assistance and consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Alhaji Sani Tukura

My name is Abdulahi Suleman. We have been facing severe water shortages, which has made our lives uncomfortable and unkempt due to a lack of bathing opportunities. The water from the stream is dirty and unsafe to drink. Our children go to school smelling and looking untidy because of the water shortage. Only a few privileged individuals can afford to purchase water. The repair of our once-damaged borehole has put an end to the era of water shortages. We remain indebted to the ever selfless and generous organization for all they have done for us.
