#269 – Dabansa, Nigeria

Dabansa, Nigeria
Rehabilitating their broken handpump and reestablishing their access to safe water.
Completed: July 12th, 2024

We, the entire members of Dabansa community, wish to thank Lifewater for coming to our community to repair our hand pump borehole, which had stopped working for two (2) years now without any effort of fixing it by the community members. Today, we are delighted to have received Lifewater Nigeria in our community. We pray God blesses them abundantly.
Yours faithfully,
Musa Dauda

My name is Musa Dauda. We have been facing severe water scarcity before Lifewater came to our rescue. Our only source of water is a very distant river, which is not only far but also dirty and unsafe to use. Finding clean water for use has been extremely difficult and nearly impossible. The situation has been particularly challenging for our wives and children, who often go in search of water. We have become vulnerable to waterborne diseases due to the dirty and unsafe water we drink and use. Our profound gratitude goes out to Lifewater for coming to repair the community’s long-abandoned borehole. Water is life, and today we are grateful for the life that the organization has given us. Thank you for the support. May God bless you.
