#248 – Poniyi, Nigeria

Poniyi, Nigeria
Rehabilitating their broken handpump and reestablishing their access to safe water.
Completed: July 5th, 2024

I wish to write an appreciation letter on behalf of the entire people of Poniyi community, in Paikoro, Niger State to Lifewater Nigeria for repairing our spoilt borehole and providing us with portable water. May Almighty God continue to bless this organization richly.
Yours faithfully,
Moh’d Garba

My name is Ani Samari. We extend our deepest gratitude to Lifewater for their kind efforts and support in repairing our long-damaged borehole. We have been facing significant challenges in accessing water after the borehole was damaged. We have had to either buy water or use the contaminated water from the stream. The river water becomes even more polluted during rainfall, making it impossible for us to drink or use. The limited rainwater we are able to collect is not sufficient due to the large number of people relying on it. Today, we are overjoyed that all of these sufferings and struggles will end thanks to Lifewater’s excellent work in repairing the damaged borehole. May God bless the management of Lifewater and increase its finances abundantly.
