In memory of John Swadden,

Borborville Community, Liberia
Getting safe drinking water.
Completed: June 16th, 2022
We want to take this time to appreciate the Lifewater family for the construction of a new well. May God bless Lifewater and its sponsors.
— Samuel P. Andrew, Community Leader
Borborville is in Lower Margibi County. Most of the people who have lived there since it was founded in 2005 are farmers or involved in small-scale commerce.
They have always depended on hand-dug wells to meet their drinking and other water needs, says Helena Brooks, chairwoman of the local council. She notes these wells are open to the elements and often contaminated, which has caused many people to become sick with typhoid and other diarrheal diseases.
When Lifewater learned of Borborville’s struggles, thanks to our donors, we were able to drill a well in the community that is providing safe, accessible water. The people were grateful to the drilling team, and promised to keep the well clean.
